The Chase Park Plaza The 2010 AME conference will be held in the historic Chase Park Plaza hotel in the heart of St. Louis, Missouri. This recently renovated landmark offers beautifully furnished rooms, fitness facilities, and a five-screen cinema, in addition to comfortable meeting facilities. The location of the Chase lends itself to easy exploration of St. Louis, from the Central West End just outside the door with its restaurants and entertainment to Forest Park across the street with its museums, zoo, and golf course.The Gateway Arch, the Missouri Botanical Garden, and other St. Louis attractions are just minutes away. The conference planning team has worked hard to ensure a competitive room rate at the Chase Park Plaza, where the 2010 conference meetings will take place. For a five-star luxury hotel in a major metropolitan area, the AME group rate of $155/night (plus tax) is a remarkable deal, and we encourage all conference registrants to take advantage of it! Nevertheless, there are other hotels, with more modest accommodations, within walking distance to the Chase that also post reasonable rates. In contrast to the accommodations available at the alternative hotels, the "standard room" for $155/night at the Chase Park Plaza is a one-bedroom suite with a pull-out sleeper couch. A limited number of two-bedroom suite accommodations are offered for $255 (plus tax) and could easily be shared with others. Reserve rooms by October 20th to guarantee the “group” rate. |
